Filtered Thoughts
"Why haven't I heard of this game?", was what Mrs. Coffee asked when she saw the trailers for the game, while I was looking at its reported game-play data. If you have not seen anything about Mini Ninjas, below is a compilation video showing off some story and game-play elements for the game:
While I have not played Mini Ninjas, I have tracked the game's data for a long time now. I even searched, and found I had the data from when the game's data debuted, which was on February 15, 2010; so just a little over 5 months after the game was originally released.
I think the reported game-play hours "Per person" are good for this title, especially considering you can find it under $20 now at most stores. Nintendo of Europe added a non-Nintendo published title to its Nintendo Selects lineup, which makes me wonder if perhaps Nintendo of America will start adding third party games, like Mini Ninjas, to the Nintendo Selects titles here in the States.
Questions
Have any of you played Mini Ninjas, any version, and would you recommend it to others? Also, do the reported game-play hours "Per person" reflect about how long it should take to complete the game just once?

I was surprised just how much fun I had with this game. Was not expecting a 12 hour average of playtime. That sends a good signal to me that others enjoyed playing it like I did.
ReplyDeleteHave not played this one, and I admit I'm a bit surprised that it's gotten as much playtime as it has - it's just a title that I recall hearing about when it came out - but not much since.
ReplyDeleteCoffee!!
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I purchased this game but it is one of the few still on our backlog. It looks awesome but we still haven't cracked the plastic wrap.
Someday!
PS - I've been playing Monster Hunter Tri again lately. Let me know if you ever wanna hunt with the NinTemple peeps again!
@KnucklesSonic8:
ReplyDeleteYea, I was surprised to learn the game had a commercial(or two) while I was looking up information on the game. I'm guessing the commercials weren't run long, but apparently it(they) did a good enough job to spread the word for the game.
@Chalgyr:
Well, do keep in mind the game is on the PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as on Steam...which has a free demo as well...if you go bargain shopping one day.
@NinSage:
Was the purchase recent, or has it been a while...and was it the Wii version?
As for MHT, I haven't played it since July I finished the single-player campaign in July...perhaps once I finish my backlog, I'll hop back online in it.
Thanks for the comments/feedback! If any of you other CWG readers have been being Mini Ninjas, feel free to add feedback!
