  1. I'd get this game purely based on judging it by its cover. I never played the original but I hear good things about it.

  3. This is exactly what I was talking about when mentioning making posts highlighting "hidden gems".

    Boy and His Blob is one of my Top 10 Wii games, if not my Top 5.

    It reminds me a lot of one of Miyazaki's film (Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo) the way it looks. There are a ton of hidden details in the game, the music is great, the puzzles are interesting, and even past the game's history, it very much reminds me of the good old days of gaming.

  4. Weird. It cut off the last sentence I wrote.

    But if you like gaming, and want to see what the Wii is capable of when a developer actually cares about what it puts on the system, I'd highly recommend this game to you.

  6. lol YES Altered Beast was an amazing arcade game... I refused to play it on the Sega System because I touched it once and realized horrible frame rate makes me violent towards controllers :(.

    Thanks for sharing.

    @Nicodemus at Nite:
    I recall you saying you like 2D style games.
    A Boy and His Blob is one of several on the Wii, if you get it let me know what you think of it.

    @Den:
    I did check out your review! Do you drink coffee with your toast?

    @The Dread Pirate Guy:
    This game was released, with little to no advertising, other than word-of-mouth.

    @NicodemusatNite and Den:
    Altered Beast is available for download through the Virtual Console, though it is Sega Gensis version of the game.

    Has anybody else played A Boy and His Blob and have anything good or bad about it?
