Thoughts:
As I said two weeks ago, I think that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex will pass The Conduit's "Total Hours" reported played, on Monday, March 15, 2010, when the data is updated.
The Conduit should be reporting around 1,242,000 "Total Hours".
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex should be reporting around 1,280,000 "Total Hours".

Questions:
Why do you think Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles has the lowest sales rank on Amazon.com out of these four games, but it is the newest released game of them all? Do you think it's because of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicle's price?
Price is only 1 factor. It cannot compete with either The Conduit or Modern Warfare Reflex. Both are legit FPS games with a full single player modes and online modes. You have to compare it to HOD: Overkill and it has two things going against it here, 1) price, why would you spend $30 more dollars and 2) it doesn't have the campy personallity that Overkill does.
ReplyDeleteIt may be because people find those on rail type games boring. Four or five hours later with a buddy playing and you beat the game. I'd rather just rent it for the $6 or $7 instead of spending the $30 to $50 for it.
ReplyDelete@Kyle in DE:
ReplyDeleteResident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is a full game though. It's 20-30 hours in length, and even has online leaderboards for posting up scores.
@Nicodemus at Nite:
I mentioned it above, but Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is actually 20-30 hours in length.
I'm thinking maybe a lot of people are buying it's prequel, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for $30, instead of this this one.
Again, I think this is bad marketing, because before I read any reviews, I thought the game was a short experience like most on-rail games, and I didn't know it had online leaderboards.
Thanks to the both of you for the comments!
